Lawyers leader and former President Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan on Tuesday termed crackdown strategy devised by government to foil lawyers' long mach and sit-in as unfruitful and added, "Arresting lawyers and political activists will not help hinder lawyers' long march". Talking to a private TV he said that he had stepped out of his home after reports came about crackdown but no one raided on my home. "Arrests and home confinement efforts will boost up lawyers' zeal instead of causing any damage in accomplishment of our goal" he said adding, "We will reach Islamabad at all costs and will participate in long march, sit-in."
