OKARA - The federal minister for Kashmir affairs has said the PPP has come up victorious in the Senate elections and will form the next government as well by winning the upcoming general elections.

“PPP is the only political party in the country which can confront with any situation,” said Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo while addressing a meeting. “The people are not ready to endure such elements as are hatching conspiracies. The problems caused by the previous government are being solved. Loadshedding will be eliminated soon.” He said that the government would make prosperous Pakistan where the people would be given self respect. Pakistan would be developed in line with the developed countries. Mr Wattoo said work on Bhasha Dam was in the full swing and funds of Rs 41 billion have been released, adding that the project would produce 4500 MW electricity. He mentioned the agreement of gas pipeline with Iran, saying that the government would give in to the US pressure.

“We will not compromise on national interests at any cost. On equal basis, we are ready to negotiate with America,” he said. He also recalled that when he was chief minister of the Punjab, his government constructed various roads in Depalpur.

ELECTRIFICATION: MNA Khuram Jehangir Wattoo inaugurated electrification projects in Abadis Mian Zafar Manika, Faiz Nagar and khurpe. On the occasion, Noor Ahmad Wattoo, Syed Ghazanfar Hayat Chishti along with hundreds of companions announced their support for the MNA. During the inauguration ceremony, Mian Nawab Ali Khan, Babar Manika, Malik Ghulam Ahmad, Saleem Fazalka and Aamir Hayat Wattoo were also present.
