LAHORE – PML(N) leader and Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab, Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that those who are levelling allegations against Muslim League leadership should bring proof to substantiate what they allege. He said that the PML(N) leaders were neither afraid of accountability in the past nor would hesitate to appear before the courts in future.

While commenting on the talk of Federal Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan with media, Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that Firdous Ashiq Awan should not protect the “don” sitting in presidency who has stashed national wealth in Swiss banks. He advised the Minister to think who to defend the ‘president’s house’ instead of levelling accusations against Mian Shahbaz Sharif.

He said that conclusion drawn from baseless allegations cannot change the facts. He said that Mian Nawaz Sharif had exposed Mehran Gate Scam of Younis Habib in 1993 when he had gone to Choti Zereen along with national media and identified the barren land on which a huge amount had been taken as a loan.

Senator Pervaiz Rashid advised the Minister ‘to correct her record and check the rampant corruption being committed in the President House instead of leveling allegations against Punjab Chief Minister.’ He said that as far as accountability is concerned, PPP presented guard of honour to a dictator who failed to prove irregularity of even a single penny against Mian Brothers notwithstanding the fact, he made every effort during 10 years.

Field has also been open for the present government for the last four years to thoroughly investigate our leadership and present the solid proof instead of making tall claims before the media, he added.
