KARACHI - A man was killed within the jurisdictions of Sohrab Goth police station here on Saturday.

The incident took place at Hassan Noman Colony near Super Highway, where 35-year-old Abbas was sitting at his puncture shop.

Two unidentified armed culprits came on motorcycle and opened fire on him. The assailants easily managed to escape. Police shifted the injured to nearest private hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

DSP Ejaz Rajper said Abbas was the resident of Macchar Colony and ran a tire puncture shop in Hassan Noman Colony. The victim’s family said that he had some issues with his relatives in Peshawar. He belonged to Aka Khail community. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medicolegal formalities and later handed over to his family.

The victim heirs said that they would register case after his funeral.
