HAFIZABAD - Hussaini Alliance Hafizabad President Syed Hussain Ali Shah has strongly condemned the target killing of Shia Muslims in Kohistan and Balochistan and demanded immediate arrests of the perpetrators.

Addressing a news conference in the Hafizabad Press Club, he expressed concern over the aggravating law and order in the country. He particularly referred to the killing of 18 persons in Kohistan and lamented rulers’ inaction to prevent such incidents.

To a question, he said that two months ago, law and order in Hafizabad in particular and in Gujranwala Division in general was very alarming but the posting of new Punjab inspector general, the RPO and DPO in the region had improved the situation. He congratulated the new DPO for security to the people. He said that this community in the district had always maintained peace and brotherly atmosphere and there had been no sectarian tension or clash during the last two decades. He said that the community here would maintain peace in the future as well.

LARCENIES: Two citizens were deprived of a car and a bike in the city in theft incidents. Muhammad Shoaib of Garhi Awan had parked his car (LEC 7182) near an outhouse. But when he returned, he found his car disappeared. Similarly, one Muhammad Zaman parked his bike outside Masjid Siddiqia to offer Friday prayer and when he came out of the mosque, he could not find his bike.
