A power breakdown early Friday morning hit half the city of Karachi after light showers.
“The current power disruption is caused by tripping in the extra high tension line, which has affected a few grid stations,” K-Electric confirmed.
Due to power breakdown, reports said, water supply to Karachi was also affected as pumping stations in Dhabeji, Gharo and Pipri areas went without electricity.
“Restoration work is underway and most areas have already been energised,” the company tweeted.
