USAID team meets NAB chairman

Islamabad - A high powered delegation of USAID headed by Ann Calvarese Barr along with other members of office of Inspector General USAID called on Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, yesterday and discussed matters of mutual interest.
During the meeting, various strategic measures adopted by NAB came under discussion. It was informed that NAB’s achievements have considerably added towards the rule of law, regime of anti-corruption and raising the stature of Pakistan in the international arena as is evident from latest Transparency International report and rankings. The USAID officials appreciated the NAB’s functioning and tangible efforts towards eradication of corruption.
The Chairman NAB acknowledged the concerted efforts of USAID towards social uplift, infrastructure projects and measures adopted to make these projects corruption free to achieve sustainable development. The meeting ended on a note of thanks and determination to improve further the mutual cooperation and collaboration in the field of anti-corruption activities and to make the ongoing projects more accountable, transparent and corruption free.
