Pakistan’s cricket team has been given permission to play in India by Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar. Head of Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Executive Committee Najam Sethi announced this in front of reporters after a meeting with the Interior minister.

“The team is completely ready and hopefully they will fly to Dubai tonight and then from there will leave straight for India,” Sethi said.

It was further revealed that Pakistan’s High Commissioner Abdul Basit met the Indian Secretary and the assurances were given regarding the team’s safety in India. Chief minister of west Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, assured ‘foolproof security’ for the team in writing.
