peshawar - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Irrigation Arshad Ayub, while presiding over a meeting of C&W Department regarding ongoing projects in Haripur district, on Thursday said that completion of ongoing development projects in Haripur district would bring prosperity and raise living standards of the people.
Construction and rehabilitation of roads projects are being carried out by the C&W Department which will facilitate transportation of the locals. The construction work should be carried out in a timely manner so that the people do not face any difficulty and will benefit as much as possible.
XEN C&W Haripur Tahira Begum briefed the minister on the issues faced in the projects. Other officials of C&W district Haripur were also present in the meeting.
Arshad Ayub also met various delegations from Haripur district. The delegations apprised the minister of the problems faced in their respective areas.
Talking to the delegations, Arshad Ayub said that approval for setting up a Family Park in Haripur has been given by DDWP. Affordable entertainment will be available for locals after completion.
The family park will be constructed on 200 kanals of land at an estimated cost of Rs.199 million while land will be purchased at a cost of Rs28 million. In addition, under the plan to set up IT labs in government schools, approval was given to set up IT labs in several schools in Haripur.
The delegations thanked the minister for the ongoing projects in Haripur district.
