ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Secretary Water and Power Ismail Qureshi, Chairman WAPDA Shakeel Durrani and Member Water Raghib Shah Saturday narrowly escaped a mishap when one of the two engines of their helicopter stopped working. According to detail, Federal Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervaiz Ashraf along with Secretary Ministry of Water and Power Ismail Qureshi and Chairman WAPDA Shakeel Durrani were on visit to Bhasha Dam site by helicopter. When they reached Thah Kot, one of the two engines of the helicopter stopped working. However, Pilot succeeded to return to Islamabad and made an emergency landing at Dhamyal Camp, Rawalpindi. The minister, secretary and chairman WAPDA remained unharmed. Spokesman of the ministry, Tanveer Aalam while confirming the incident, said the four officials of the ministry were also on visit to Bhasha Dam.
