LAHHORE - Begum Masood Sadiq was an institution in herself and the list of feats which she performed during her life is endless. This was stated by Chairman Nazria Pakistan Trust and Editor-in-Chief The Nation, Majid Nizami while addressing a condolence reference organised by Nazria Pakistan Trust in collaboration with Tehrik-e-Pakistan Workers Trust at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan in the memory of Begum Masood Sadiq on Saturday. He said he knew more about Begum Sahiba's husband, Sheikh Masood Sadiq as a friend. He was intimately known to him even when he was minister in Nawab Kalabagh's cabinet and later in Ayub Khan's cabinet although he was in conflict with Ayub Khan owing to his difference of opinion regarding politics. He said he knew Begum Sahiba as chairperson Red Crescent Society but later he came to know that she performed many remarkable services during Pakistan movement which will be remembered for long. Vice chairman, NPT, Dr Rafique Ahmad said that her greatest services rendered were the recovery and rehabilitation of Muslim women kidnapped by the Hindus and Sikhs during the partition. She performed exemplary services in all walks of life, he further said. Begum Khurshid Niazi said that Begum Masood Sadiq not only worked during the partition but also provide her services to the nation after creation of Pakistan Begum Khalida Malik said that Begum Masood Sadiq was proud for working for Nazria Pakistan Trust. Dr MA Soofi said that she worked for the welfare of women community. Begum Mehnaz Rafi, Brig (r) Iqbal Shafi, Col (r) Jamshed Tarin and Shahid Rashid also addressed and paid tributes to Begum Masood Sadiq. Students must learn country ideology Students of Azeem Talent High School, Township, Lahore visited Aiwan-e-Karkunan, Tehrik-e-Pakistan on a study tour. They visited picture gallery and watched documentary film while Dr Sarfraz Hussain Mirza and Prof Muhammad Muzaffar Mirza explained Pakistan history to the students. Meanwhile, addressing Nazria Pakistan Trust mobile programme 'Aghi,' Principal The Trust School, Thokar Niaz Beg, Prof Syed Waqar Ahmad Bukhari said that students should learn the ideological basis of our country to remove confusion. Incharge programme, Prof Muhammad Saeed Sheikh also addressed and gave prizes to students for correct recitation of Klam-e-Iqbal. He also gave a set of books for the school library.
