Four injured in separate blasts

QUETTA - Four people, including two personnel of security forces and two children, were wounded in separate blasts in Turbat and Khuzdar towns of Balochistan on Monday. Two security personnel, travelling in a vehicle, were injured in the blast caused by a roadside explosive device near the National Bank of Pakistan branch at Turbat Bazaar. The injured are identified as Lance Naik Nazir and Sepoy Murid Ahmed, while the vehicle was also partially damaged in the explosion. Soon after the incident, police and personnel of law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. Sources say a remote controlled device was used in the blast, which created panic among the locals. No group has so far claimed the responsibility for the attack. In another incident, two children received minor injuries when an explosive device exploded in Khuzdar town, some 350 km southeast of the provincial capital. According to details, Muhammad Irfan and Asadullah were playing with an object near Khuzdar University, which exploded, injuring them slightly. They were rushed to a hospital and later discharged after getting first medical aid.
