MULTAN - The relatives of a youth, who was kidnapped a month ago from Adil Town area, staged a protest demonstration against Qutabpur Police for not arresting the accused and recovering the abductee Muhammad Khalid here outside Multan Press Club on Monday. The protesters assembled on Abdali Road and carried out non-stop sloganeering against police. They also blocked the road and staged a sit-in. They demanded immediate recovery of Muhammad Khalid and suspension of SHO Qutabpur. Talking to the journalists the protesters said that three accused were nominated in the FIR registered on abduction of Muhammad Khalid but Qutabpur police neither arrested the accused nor recovered Khalid. They further alleged that police also received bribe from them but did not take any action against the accused. 'Instead theyre threatening us to quash our FIR, they added. WOMAN SEEKS JUSTICE A woman has urged upon the Chief Justice of Pakistan to issue orders for action against those who subjected her to physical assaults, made photographs and then blackmailed her. Addressing a Press conference here at Multan Press Club on Monday, Sakina Bibi, a resident of Shujabad area, told the journalists that two accused Irfan and Sikandar abducted and took her to an unknown place, where they raped her at gunpoint and made here photographs. She alleged that the accused blackmailed her on behalf of photographs and extorted money and gold ornaments weighing eight tolas. She said that she filed a complaint with Shujabad Saddar police but they refused to take action against the accused.
