LAHORE Pakistan former cricket coach Intikhab Alam said here Monday that cricket volunteers can save Pakistan cricket. He praised the contribution of SPM Cricket head Aizad Hussain Sayid and Pakistan cricket needs welfare-oriented persons. He was as chief guest at the final of first SPM Lahore Veterans Cricket League that saw SPM Stags outplaying Lahore Whites by 78 runs with team skipper and former ODI opener Shahid Anwar (88 runs, one wicket) getting man-of-the-final award at Model Town Whites track, Model Town F-Block. He also launched a scathing attack on Pakistani players, calling them 'mentally retarded during their miserable 2009-10 tour of Australia, where they failed to win a single match. He revealed that apart from their woeful on-field performance, the players failed to show good conduct. There is a mental problem with our players. They dont know how to wear their clothes and how to talk in a civilised manner.
