LAHORE The City was lashed with wind and thunderstorm rain in the evening on Sunday after a sizzling heat which touched 40 degree centigrade, the highest so far. The temperature registered upward trend during the past 24 hours from 35.5 on Friday to 40 on Sunday. However, it decreased after the windstorm and clouds that came from Arabian Sea bringing respite in the hot weather. The inclement weather continued for a short period in the evening bringing the vehicular traffic to a halt. The westerly swiftly moved towards India without causing any considerable rain. The Met office has predicted dry weather during the next 24 hours.
