It is of paramount importance to take remedies to save water for meeting up energy requirements. It has been seen that soon after the heavy rainfall on the mountains of Margalla and Murree, the gates of the Rawal Dam Islamabad gets opened by respective authorities and as a result a lot of water is wasted which could be saved otherwise as well. As our country is facing severe energy crisis, such losses are of considerable importance and needs adequate measurements so that we could be able to overcome electricity crisis in future by preserving water in the form of small dams, lakes and ponds at small level. As Pakistan receives heavy rain in different times of the year so its responsibility of government to take radical steps for saving water and utilise that water in making the country’s effectiveness in economic terms.
