Balochistan will present its annual budget for the year 2018-19 on May 14, Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti said on Friday.

Balochistan government would likely allocate Rs56.54 billion for education sector; Rs38.09 has been recommended for security whereas, Rs19.41 for health.

Moreover, there would be 10% increase in the salaries of government servants and 7,000 new vacancies have been requested in various government departments.

Earlier, budget for Balochistan was approved at a meeting of the provincial cabinet in April. Provincial cabinet has vowed to present a people friendly budget.

Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Chief Minister Balochistan, said that government will try to provide maximum relief to general public by allocating sufficient funds to the education and health sectors. 

The budget deficit is likely to stand at Rs60 billion.
