Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has sought applications from political parties for allotment of election symbols, sources at the ECP said on Friday.

According to details, allocation of 5 percent women quota, an affidavit from the political party chief and others obligations will be must to qualify for the party symbol.

As many as 110 registered political parties in the country have been asked for applications. The application will be received till May 15, sources at the ECP said.

The sources made it clear that those political parties meeting all ECP criteria will be allotted election symbols.
