New facts surfaced in Hudaibiya Paper Mills case: Fawad Chaudhry

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain on Tuesday has said that Hudaibiya Paper Mills case is a story of fraud worth Rs1242 million which is biggest scam than Panama Leaks.

In a series of posts on social-networking website Twitter, the minister said that there was no trial held for this case even after detailed investigation. The judge who had ordered to wrap up the case himself owned foreign assets as per Panama Leaks. No inquiry was launched against him as well, he added.

Fawad Chaudhry further told that some new facts have been surfaced in Hudaibiya case due to which, it has been decided to launch new inquiry. We hope that the court will now also bring the judge, who facilitated the Sharif family, to the justice, he asserted.

The minister also urged the national institutions to play their role as the future of Pakistan is linked with the supremacy of the law.

Earlier, Chaudhary Fawad Hussain said the federal government had decided a fresh probe into the Hudaibiya Paper Mills case, adding that the legal team gave a detailed briefing to Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding the cases of PML-N president Mian Shehbaz Sharif.

He said that the government decided that the case of Hudaibiya Paper Mills needed a fresh investigation and in this regard, the concerned agencies were being asked to reopen the investigation.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the Hudaibiya case is the most important source to expose the corruption of the Sharif family.
