PPP has established itself as an anti-establishment party. It has intact a huge, devoted vote bank among the poorest of the society, which is full of uncouth, uneducated masses prone to personality worship that know nothing about the norms of democracy. Riding on their support, PPP has come in power many a times but always at wrong time of the history. Once in power, it has generally submerged in all sorts of wrongdoings. Its exit strategy in all such situations has always been to project itself as a victim of the establishment, even though, most of the time it has been brought into power by the establishment itself.
