LAHORE Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf met all the regional presidents here at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Thursday and it was his first interaction with them since he took over PCB in October. The meeting was attended by all the regional presidents except Tariq Baloch (President Regional Cricket Association Quetta) as he was not in Pakistan. Those who represented their respective regions were Shakil Shaikh (President Regional Cricket Association Islamabad), Major (retd) Syed Naeem Akhtar Gilani (President Regional Cricket Association Rawalpindi), Aamir Nawab Khan (President Regional Cricket Association Faisalabad), Malik Zulfiqar (President Regional Cricket Association Sialkot), Khawaja Nadeem Ahmad (President Lahore City Cricket Association), Prof S Sirajul Islam Bukhari (President Karachi City Cricket Association), Wisal M Durrani (President Regional Cricket Association Peshawar), Mir Haider Ali Khan Talpur (President Regional Cricket Association Hyderabad), Chaughdry M Anwar (President Regional Cricket Association Faisalabad) and Prof Inam Elahi Farooqi (Chairman Interim Committee Multan Region). The chairman welcomed the regional presidents and asked for their suggestions for the development and promotion of cricket across the country. Every president gave detailed input on cricket development, infrastructure development and promotion of cricket at grass root level. They also briefed the chairman about the issues faced by their respective regions. The PCB chief promised to look into the issues encountered by them and assured his full support for the development of the game across the country. The chairman also promised to visit each region in near future.
