LAHORE A writ petition has been filed by Blind Association to assail the written test sought from them by the Punjab Public Service Commission for recruitment as lecturers and teachers in the special children institutions. The petitioner is aggrieved of the education department for obliging them to take written test to qualify for the said posts relegating on the previous commitment of passing them only through the verbal, viva voice. It says that they being disabled are not able to take written examination when this is also not a compulsory condition with respect to them under the law, to get the public job. Reply sought: The Lahore High Court on Thursday called for a reply from the Federal Government by December 20 next to a petition filed against the appointment of Buland Akhtar Khan as Accountant General of Pakistan. The petition has been by advocate Ghazi Ilmuddin inter alia contending that the respondent does not stand merit for holding the said constitutional office for he has been facing cases of corruption charges and is also holding dual nationality.
