OKARA - Under the Punjab Education Endowment Fund, scholarships worth Rs20 million have been awarded to 803 brilliant and deserving students in the district. DCO Saif Anjum said this while presiding over a meeting of the PEEF regarding scholarship awarding ceremonies.He said that the Punjab government had targeted 10,000 scholarships for intelligent students from poor section of society with a special focus on less developed districts including Okara. He said that the deserving students had been encouraged with these scholarships to help them get higher education. On the occasion, PEEF Scholarships Manager Naveed Majeed said that many students were studying abroad under the PEEF initiative. Assistant Commissioner Depalpur Shaukat Aslam, Renala Khurd AC Malik Mushtaq and Deputy Director (Colleges) Ghulam Dastagir attended the meeting.
