Folk star Daniel O'Donnell sets chart record

LONDON (BBC) - Irish singer Daniel O'donnell has set a new chart record after becoming the first artist to have a different album featured in the countdown every year for the past 25 years. Bosses at the Official Charts Company have confirmed that the folk star achieved the feat with the release of his latest project, Songs from the Movies and More, which entered the albums chart at number seven when the new rundown was unveiled last Sunday. A flattered O'Donnell tells the BBC, "I am delighted my new album made it into the top 10 album charts and it's a fantastic feeling to have achieved chart success in the albums charts for the last 25 years.”
