LAHORE – Punjab Olympic Association (PbOA) president Syed Shahid Ali Shah, who is also IOC member in Pakistan, declared the Samsung 5th Punjab Inter Schools, Colleges Games open here at the Railway Stadium on Saturday.

Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) president Syed Arif Hassan, PbOA secretary Idris Haider Khawaja, SVP Iftikhar Ali Malik, organising secretary Tania Malik, sponsors Samsung’s high officials, students of schools and colleges, sports teachers and other sports dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

In the colourful ceremony of the Games, the students of participating schools and colleges march-passed the chief guests and then the students exhibited their skills in aerobics and Turkish dance which were highly lauded by the spectators.

Around 2500 students of 250 schools and colleges are taking part in 25 events of the Games. It is pertinent to mention here that the Punjab Olympic Association announced the cash prize of Rs 5,000 each for the best player of the Games in every category. The Games will conclude on November 14 while PML-N Leader Mian Nawaz Sharif will be chief guest at the concluding ceremony.
