TOBA TEK SINGH - On the call of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, Malala Day was observed by various NGOs here on Saturday. Addressing separate meetings held in this regard, Ashfaq Fateh, Rafia Salomi, PPP leader Rana Khalid Mahmood, Labour Party Pakistan District Secretary Tariq Mahmood, PML-N MPA Mian Muhammad Rafiq, Ayub Anjum, Sadaqat Sardar, Begum Azra Rohi, Ihsan Sadaqat, Rasheed Jalal, Tahir Zeeshan and Qari Babar Jamil paid rich tributes to Malala Yousafzai who was shot injured by Taliban gunmen while returning home from school in Swat. They said that she was targeted for her struggle to get right of education for the women in tribal society. They demanded nomination of Malala for the Nobel Peace Prize for her symbolic work for the right to education on behalf of girls of Pakistan.
