ST to let nobody play Sindh, Punjab cards

MULTAN - Sunni Tehreek (ST) Chief Ijaz Sarwat Qadri has declared that his party will field candidates in all constituencies across the country in the upcoming general elections.Addressing an “Azad Pakistan Conference” here at divisional sports ground the other night, he added that the candidates of ST would deliver incredible results in the elections and bury existing rotten and crippling system forever. He warned that the ST would not let anyone promote the ideas of Jews and Christians in the Pakistan of Allama Iqbal. He added that his party would not let any political party play Sindh or Punjab card.He pointed out that the target killing continued uninterrupted in Karachi and Gilgit Baltistan but nothing was done to stop this massacre. He added that the so-called Taliban mocked Islamic norms publicly and those supporting terrorists were enemies of Islam and Pakistan. He declared that the ST fully supported Pakistan Army on the issue of operation against terrorists. “If the Waziristan operation is delayed, nation will point finger on army,” he claimed. He said that the law and order situation had seriously deteriorated while lawlessness, unemployment, price hike and external intervention buried the citizens of Pakistan alive. He said that the middle class would have to declare mutiny against ruling class in coming elections to get rid of illegal occupation of landlords. He lashed out at the government, saying courts were set up overnight for granting bail to Raymond Davis for appeasing USA but nothing was being done for the release of Mumtaz Qadri. He said that although 180 million Pakistanis raised voice for the release of Mumtaz Qadri, the rulers got deaf and dumb on this issue. He said that the terrorists held the government hostage and the rulers provided the facilities. He said that despite loss of thousands of innocent lives in terrorism, Maulana Fazlur Rehman did not give even a single statement in condemnation of terrorists. He said that the Interior Minister claimed that hundreds of terrorists were arrested so far but not even a single was produced before the public.Referring to drone attacks, he said that these attacks were committed in sheer violation of UN charter besides violating Pakistan’s sovereignty. He demanded the government to direct army to hit the drones. He said that India played a shameful role in Balochistan on American instigation to destabilize Pakistan.Earlier, addressing the conference, Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi said that the saints won the hearts of people by promoting teachings of peace but the terrorists hit their shrines to disrupt peace in the country. He added that initially he was blamed for being superstitious and now accused of corruption. He said that the people recognized the faces of liars. The conference was also addressed by Mufti Liaqat Ali Rizvi, Shahid Ghauri, Syed Mujahid Rasool, Qari Aman Ullah and others.
