ISLAMABAD: Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Syed Imran Gerdezi has said that Radio Pakistan remains the most effective medium.

He said this while talking to the newsmen and intellectuals in Multan on Wednesday.

He said with some seventy percent population living in rural areas and having its reach to ninety six percent area of the country.

Syed Imran Gerdezi said that recent recruitments in Radio Pakistan have been ensured on merit and now they are being trained on modern lines.

Director General said strategy has been devised to improve quality of broadcast, replace aging transmitters, increase income of Radio Pakistan and build capacity of its professional staff.

Earlier, he addressed the employees of Radio Pakistan Multan and assured them to solve their issues.
