KARACHI: A student was shot dead and two others injured in a suspected sectarian attack in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar area on Friday evening.

SSP Gulshan said that unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on three people in Block IV of Gulistan-e-Johar.

One of the students, identified as Murtaza, was killed as a result of firing while two others sustained wounds who were shifted to hospital for treatment.

A case has been registered against unidentified murderers and investigation was underway.
