Minister for Power Division Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari has said that the government has overcome the loadshedding issue by enhancing power generation capacity during the last four years.

According to Radio Pakistan, addressing gatherings of people in Dera Ghazi Khan, he said new electricity connections would be provided within 15 days after filing applications.                

The Minister said steps are being taken to improve power sector and prepaid meters would be introduced for better results.
