Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar on Sunday dispelled rumors that he was running Punjab’s affairs from behind the veil, while denying intervention in constituency of Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) lawmaker and Federal Minister for Housing and Works Tariq Bashir Cheema.
Sarwar added that he had lasting relations with Chaudhry brothers. He said, “Minor complaints cannot stir a political storm.”
“I did not intervene in administrative affairs of Cheema’s constituency”, claimed governor while adding at the same time that he had supported a candidate of nearby area.
Sarwar went on to say that Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar’s office was the centre of power.
Yesterday, Punjab Assembly Speaker and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, during a meeting, asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Jahangir Khan Tareen, to control Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar.
