PESHAWAR - Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted an intelligence-based operation and arrested an accused and recovered 3kg crystal meth (ice drug) from him. An official of ANF said that the arrestee was identified as Ghairat, a resident of Afzal Plaza, Charghano Chowk in Peshawar, and a permanent resident of Nangarhar province in Afghanistan.
The official said that the drug recovered was being smuggled from Peshawar to Punjab.
He said that the recovered drug was worth $597,000, which equals Rs1,275,000 in Pakistani currency.
The case was registered and further investigation was launched.
