Our collective failure

Our society still seems to be confused about what to think about children and young people. The society puts the blame on children for its own faults. For instance, crime, drugs and violence are all attributed to the youth. The list goes on. But if these theories are true, where do these rebellious attitudes stem from? The obvious answer would be from the upbringing of children. In my opinion, the media also plays an important role in shaping the behaviour of youth today. ANUM SUBHAN, Karachi, October 8.
