Islamabad - Shazia parveen from Okara with her husband and two children have been holding a sit-in since September 23rd in front of national press club against land grabbers. She demanded immediate evacuation of land from the grabbers.
Shazia parveen told this scribe that her father-in-law Ahmed Ali in 2005 gave the disputed 13 canal land on contract to Jahangir S/O Theerag but after the demise of father-in-law, jahangir illegally transferred the land to his own name.
She added that for the evacuation of land from grabbers her family has sent many letters to higher authorities including Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
She said that she has requested the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) to take suo-moto action against land grabbers to free her land from occupiers and to end their miseries as they have been sitting in front of national press club for more than twenty days.
