Hollywood: Tom is returning as American symbologist Robert Langdon in the new sequel to The DaVinci Code, directed by Ron Howard, which was due to hit cinemas in December 2015. But Sony has announced it is pushing back the release date of Inferno - the third in the series following Angels And Demons - and it will now be released in October 2016. According to The Wrap, the decision was made to avoid competing at the box office with Star Wars: Episode VII, which is due for release on December 18 2015.  Now, only the Tina Fey and Amy Poehler comedy The Nest will be going head-to-head with the highly anticipated Star Wars sequel. Inferno is due to begin shooting in Italy next spring.–BFT
