London- Leader of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain telephoned the PTI vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi and extended sympathies on the death of several people as a result of a stampede in the PTI public meeting in Multan.

He asked Shah Mahmood Qureshi to convey his message to PTI chief Imran Khan and PTI workers that their grief was equally felt by all the workers of the MQM. Altaf Hussain prayed Almighty Allah to bless the people who died in the stampede and wished a speedy recovery to those who were injured. Qureshi thanked Altaf Hussain on behalf of the PTI chief Imran Khan and other leaders for calling and expressing sympathies in the time of grief. He informed the MQM chief about the details and added that the administration could not manage appropriately. Altaf Hussain said that the use of water cannon by the administration was very inappropriate.
