LAHORE - Airport Security Force (ASF) has claimed to have arrested a passenger and recovered more than 9 kilogram heroin from his possession at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Saturday.
An ASF spokesman told The Nation that Qaiser Saleem was arrested by ASF officials when he was trying to board a Dubai bound flight Ek-623. The passenger had concealed the drugs in his baggage that was recovered by the officials after search.
During preliminary investigation, the resident of Gujrat said that he was carrying the narcotics on behest of smugglers. This much quantity of heroin is worth millions of rupees in international market.
SILVER SMUGGLING: ASF officials Saturday seized 15kg silver jewelry from a passenger, Muhammad Imran, who was trying to smuggle it to Sharjah. Imran is resident of Kot Khawaja Saeed, Chah Miran.
