HAFIZABAD-A court has ordered the registration of a case against 30 policemen including the station head on the charges of committing house trespass, criminal intimidation and looting valuables.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta ordered the registration of a case against SHO City Ali Akbar Chattha, Sub Inspectors Zulifqar Ali and Aslam, ASIs Munir Ahmad Bhoon, Imtiaz Ahmad, Hafiz Arshad, Badar Munir and 23 unidentified policemen.

They were accused of storming into the house of an advocate, violating the sanctity of his house, humiliating the occupants, hurling threats of dire consequences and looting 30 tolas gold ornaments, Rs300,000, licenced rms and two bikes. The order for the registration of the case has been issued on the petition filed by Advocate Amir Hamza Awan. The DBA demanded that the SHO city be suspended immediately.

However, no case has so far been registered.
