MIRPURKHAS:  Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Sardar Ali Shah has said that before 18th Amendment, heritage and historical sites of Sindh lay devastated owing to lack of attention by the federal government.

Talking to media after visiting a historical site, Kaho jo Daro near here on Monday evening, he added that now due to Sindh government’s attention historical sites were being protected and were in better condition.

He stressed that civil society and local people should play their roles to save their historical sites because it was not the government’s job alone. “We are making efforts to get conducted a survey at Kaho Jo Daro through Archeology Department and the sites historical items would be saved in a museum. He informed that efforts were on to build a museum in Mirpurkhas on behalf of cultural department.
