HAFIZABAD- Pakistan Milli Yakjehti Council (PMYC) will continue making efforts to create unity among religious parties to eliminate sectarianism from the country which is weakening the national cohesion.
PMYC President Dr Sahibzada Abu Al-Khair Muhammad Zubair declared on the Urs celebrations of Peer Syed Shabbir Hussain Shah here on Saturday. Addressing the devotees, he urged the religious scholars to unveil the anti-Islam activities hatched by the enemies to create chaos and sectarianism among Muslims Ummah.
He also strongly condemned the atrocities being committed against Kashmiri Muslims, calling on the government to make all-out efforts for the early resolution to Kashmir issue. He said that the issue should be resolved as per Kashmiris’ aspirations.
“Religious parties will contest next general elections from one platform and enforce Shariah after coming into power,” he added.
SECTION 144 IMPOSED: The district administration has imposed Section 144 in the district, banning pillion riding, aerial firing, displaying arms in public and distributing hate material. The administration has also prohibited perching on the roofs on the routes of Ashura processions.
Hafizabad DCO urged Ulema of all schools of thought to play their due role in creating intersect harmony among the public to ensure peace on Ashura, appealing the public to keep a close eye on suspects.
