PPP urges Ch. Nisar to eliminate agent mafia at NADRA offices in Sindh

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders Najmi Alam, Nadeem Bhutto, Habibuddin Junadi and Lateef Mughal have asked federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to control NADRA officers and staffers for dealing with the people across Sindh province with discriminatory attitude.

The NADRA officers and staffers are still running a covert consortium with the agent mafia.

In a statement issued by PPP Media cell Sindh, they said that people in Sindh are facing problems regarding obtaining new CNICs, renewal of expired CNICs and obtaining “B” form. Even the people are denied of receipt of their applications and thus tokens are not issued. However, agents operating freely around NADRA outlets easily help people to get a token against payment of Rs.1000 to Rs.1500.

They urged upon federal interior minister to visit Sindh after Muharram and devise a strategy to eliminate the prevailing situation in consultation with Sindh government.
