The Finance Minister Asad Umar has thrown the directives of federal cabinet into the dustbin for replacing heads of four important financial institutions.

According to sources, the cabinet had decided to change those heads of financial institutions, who were appointed by former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. After the meeting, the Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary also told the media about the decision.

Those officers included the ZTBL Chief Syed Talat Mehmood, SME Bank head Ihsanul Haq Khan, First Women Bank President Tahira Raza and House Building Finance Cooperation Chairman Basit Saleh.

These officers were given notices but they all were restored on their positions. The sources said that the secret notifications were issued in this connection.

It is also known that HBFC Chairman Basit Saleh was reinstated on his slot on the recommendation of former Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad.
