Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan paid homage

| CM, ministers laud services of late scientist | Highlight his role in making Pakistan’s defence invincible

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Sunday expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of renowned scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.
In his condolence message issued here, the CM extended heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family. Buzdar, while paying homage to Dr Abdul Qadeer said: “Abdul Qadeer Khan was ‘Mohsin-e-Pakistan’ as he played a significant role in taking Pakistan’s nuclear programme forward for which the nation will always be grateful to him.”
He termed the demise of Dr Qadeer a great loss for the nation.
He said Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan was an asset to the country who made the country invincible through his nuclear programme. He said that Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan was the pride of the nation and would always live in our hearts as a national hero.
The chief minister prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear that irreparable loss with equanimity.
Similarly, Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs (HA&MA) Ejaz Alam Augustine has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.
In his condolence message on Sunday, he said Dr Qadeer rendered invaluable services to strengthen Pakistan. He said that services of the deceased for making country’s defence invincible would be remembered till ages.
He prayed: “May Allah exalt the ranks of the deceased and grant patience to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.”
Likewise, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (SACM) on Information Hasaan Khawar on Sunday expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the demise of renowned scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.
In a condolence message here, he said that Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan was a hero of Pakistan and the entire nation was feeling sad over his death.
He said that the invaluable services of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan for making Pakistan invincible would always be remembered, adding: “We pay tribute to his services for the country.”
Hasaan Khawar said that the role of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan and his services for Pakistan were an example for the younger generation. “The Pakistani nation will always be grateful to Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan,” he added.
