ISLAMABAD - City police arrested two members of inter-provincial gang, who were reportedly involved in number of dacoity and murder cases and recovered looted goods amounting to Rs 15 million, cash money 375,000 and $ 7,600 from their possession. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, SSP Tahir Alam Khan said that Industrial Area Police apprehended two member of inter-provincial gang and recovered looted cash money and other valuable goods including 28 mobile phones, 45 wrist watches, saving certificates, gold ornaments and three pistols from their custody. The SSP divulged that the two members were involved in more than 30 cases of dacoities and murder and wanted to Mianwali, Multan, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Rawlakot and Islamabad police. He said that capital police were frequently receiving complaints from the residents of Sector I about the dacoity incidents in the area for the last couple of months. keeping in view the increasing trend of dacoity and burglary in the jurisdiction of Industrial Area Police Station, I specifically directed to SP Industrial Area Zone to constitute a team to combat dacoity incidents in the area, SSP added. He further said that following directives, the SP of the above-mentioned area constituted team headed by Inspector Raja Tahir Hussain of respective police station. They started investigation and after hectic efforts they had succeeded to trace out a gang consisting of twp culprits, Tahir Alam added. The SSP said that in primarily investigation they (accused) confessed that they had committed a number of dacoities in I Sector and Sector I/9 and I/8 was their main targets. He said that arrested accused were identified as Amir Ijaz, son of Fateh Muhammad resident of village Khankah, Mainwali, and Faisal Hayat, son of Sikindar of Khushab. At the end of Press conference the SSP handed over the recovered stolen goods to the owners. The owners appreciated the performance of police officials and lauded their efforts. The SSP said that all police officials who took part in the operation would be rewarded with cash prize while special certificates would also be given to them.
