SIALKOT - There was no letup in rising dacoity, robbery and theft incidents in Sialkot district, as the criminals remained on the rampage and shot dead a trader on resistance during dacoity here on Saturday, besides looting gold ornaments, two cars, six motorcycles and other valuables in several strikes in the district. The Sialkot police remained unable to trace out the culprits directly or indirectly involved in these incidents. Criminals made the lives of the peace-loving people very hard, as the people remained at the mercy of criminals. In Village Wallaaney, Sialkot Saddar, two armed motorcyclists incepted village Kohaar-Sialkot based trader Dil Jaan and tried to loot him at gunpoint, as he resisted, the dacoits shot him dead on the spot. They snatched his motorcycle and fled away. In Malakey Kalan-Muradpur, five unidentified armed dacoits looted leather worth Rs2 million from the factory of local exporter Tariq Mehmood. The dacoits stormed into the factory, overpowered security guard Taj Din, tied him with ropes and loaded the leather into a truck and fled away. In Green Wood Street Sialkot, two dacoits snatched gold ornaments, cash and mobile phones worth Rs0.3 million) at gunpoint from trader Muhammad Nadeem and his sister-in-law. In Muradpur Sialkot city, dacoits snatched motorcycles from Khalid Mehmood, Irshad and Rizwan Iqbal in separate incidents, while, dacoits also beat another trader Ali Asghar and snatched his motorcycle. Unknown thieves stole a car of Muhammad Saleem from in front of his house in village Butter, Sialkot tehsil. Besides, they stole another car of Khalid Mehmood from village Kotli Araayiaan. Likewise, three accused snatched gold ornaments and cash worth Rs.0.3 million from local exporter Muhammad Rafiqs daughter and son-in-law.
