LAHORE : While addressing the inaugural session of the two days training workshop on trade and investment, Hamid Malhi, president Basmati Growers Association, emphasized the need to develop better investment policies to attract foreign direct investment. The training workshop was been organized at a local hotel under the European Union funded TRTA II programme.  The training course was jointly conducted by ITC, Industries, Commerce & Investment Department, Government of the Punjab and Pakistan Institute of Trade and Development.

The program has three main components where Component 1 is about trade policy capacity building. The training is delivered by Professor Julien Chaisse from the University of Hong Kong.
