Rs30m pledged for Pasrur schools

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid announced a special grant of Rs30 million for the early repairing of the buildings of Pasrur tehsil’s 42 government schools on priority basis.
He announced the grant while talking to the local flood affectees at village Chahoor-Pasrur. The buildings of the schools including eight boys’ primary schools and two high schools were badly damaged during the recent flash floods. Earlier, talking to a delegation of local notables led by Khawaja Saeed Butt at Pasrur, the federal minister disclosed that the government had also allocated a special grant of Rs290 million  for the early repair and reconstruction of 28 kilometre Badiana-Merajkey Road which was badly damaged during the floods. He added that the classes would start at the beginning of the next academic year at Govt Girls Degree College Chawinda, Pasrur tehsil, for providing better higher educational facilities for students.
gamblers nicked: The CIA Police claimed to have arrested eleven gamblers including a member of local mosque committee, in a raid at a den being backed by local cops.  On a tip-off, the agency squad raided a den in Sajid Shaheed Police limits and made the arrests. The raiding team also seized wagers and gadgets.
