ISLAMABAD - Samir Iftikhar made his university and country proud as he thrashed top seed Alejandro Argente of Virginia Commonwealth University 6-4, 6-4 to lift the men's singles title at the UNSW Invitational at Althea Gibson Tennis centre in Wellington North Carolina. Samir played flawless attacking tennis and showed superb fitness. Former PTF president Syed Dilawar Abbas congratulated Samir and his father Tayyab Iftikhar for his brilliant performance and continuous achievements as he is bringing fame to the country.
