BAHAWALNAGAR/JHANG/HAFIZABAD

Thirteen persons including three women and two minors were killed in different incidents of violence, enmity and mishaps occurred separately over the past 24 hours.

According to details, in Bahawalnagar a youth killed his mother, stepfather and stepsister over a domestic dispute here in the limits of Dahranwala Police on Tuesday. Reportedly a landlord got second marriage with Sardaran Bibi about nine years back and settled his family in Chak 125 /M. Sardaran Bibi had a son Ijaz from her first husband. Ijaz nursed a grudge against his mother for contracting the second marriage and used to quarrel with his stepfather frequently. To settle his score, Ijaz along with his friend Noor Hassan and another unidentified accused gunned down his real mother Sardaran, stepfather Rafique and stepsister Nusrat late Tuesday night.

The Dahranwala Police shifted the dead bodies to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Chishtian for autopsy. Later dead bodies were dispatched to ‘Qayimka’ the ancestry village of deceased.

Similarly in JHANG, a man was axed to death for honour in Chak Ali Abad nearby Ahmedpur Sial situated in the remit of Ahmedpur Sial Police. Pervaiz Bhund suspected that her wife Iqbal Mai had developed illicit relations with one Asghar Ali Shah, a resident of the same locality. The other night, Asghar was in the house when Pervaiz attacked him and his wife with an axe, killing the former instantly while Iqbal Mai sustained critical wounds and referred to Nishtar Hospital Multan in precarious condition. The police registered a case against Pervaiz Bhund.

In another incident unidentified culprits gunned down an ex-serviceman. Reportedly Umer Draz, a resident of Mauza Haveli Bahadur Shah was going to his home when suddenly two unidentified accused opened indiscriminate firing, killing him on the spot and managed to escape from the scene. The Waryyam Wala Police have registered a case against two unidentified culprits.

Whereas two minor children drowned in canal while fishing. According to available reports, 12-year-old Abdul Rehman, son of Mehmood and 13-year-old Shah Zaib, son of Fakhar Waseem, resident of Rail Bazaar Jhang went to fish in canal nearby protective dyke of Jhang. Suddenly both children slipped and fell into the canal. The passers-by informed Rescue 1122 which rushed to the spot but could not rescue the children. Their dead bodies were recovered after hectic struggle. In yet another incident, a 20-year-old youth committed suicide over a petty family issue.

Reportedly, one Zafar Iqbal, a resident of Mauza Venpal situated in the limits of Qadirpur Police had a petty quarrel with his elder brother Ghulam Ahmed at which he got disappointed and shot himself to death. The police handed over the dead body to the family after autopsy.

Similarly in a road mishap occurred on Jhang-Sargodha Road a woman was killed. As per details, one Zubaida Bibi was crossing road when a speeding car hit her, killing her on the spot. The Jhang Saddr Police have registered a case against the unidentified car driver.

On Jhang-Faisalabad Road near Chak 214/JB, a speeding car hit a motorcycle rickshaw. Resultantly rickshaw rider Muhammad Shahid sustained injuries and breathed his last on the spot.

In another mishap happened on Jhang-Sargodha Road, a motorcyclist was killed. As per details, two real brother - Shahid Abbas and Mujahid Abbas were going on a motorcycle when suddenly a passenger van coming from the rear hit them. Resultantly both the brother fell on the road and sustained critical wound. Later, Shahid succumbed to his wounds while Mujahid Abbas was admitted to DHQ Hospital in serious condition.

Meanwhile, in Mauza Thatha Shahadat one Umer Hayat Jappa opened indiscriminate firing on his cousin Khalid Jappa, killing him on the spot. The reason behind the murder is said to be a minor family issue. The police have registered a case against Umer Hayat Jappa.

In HAFIZABAD, the dead body of a young man was found near Grain Market Sukheke the other night.

According to police source, traders of Grain Market Sukheke spotted the dead body of about 27-year-old man near the market. They informed the police which sent the dead body to the morgue for autopsy.

There was no sign of violence on the body and it seemed that the deceased was an addict and he might have died of overdose. Identity of the deceased could not be established so far.
