Three terrorists killed, 7 held in Chagai

QUETTA - At least three suspected terrorists were killed and seven arrested in a clash with the security forces in Chagai area on Saturday.

Security forces and intelligence agencies raided a hideout on a tip-off, resulting in an exchange of fire. Three terrorists were killed while seven surrendered before the security forces. Huge cache of arms and ammunition and hate material were recovered from their possession. The terrorists are said to be linked with a banned outfit. The terrorists were shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

BLAST INJURES HERDSMAN IN DERA BUGTI

A herdsman was injured and ten of his animals were killed in a landmine blast in Patokh area of Dera Bugti on Saturday.

According to details, the herdsman was taking his animals for grazing when a landmine exploded killing ten animals and causing injuries to the owner of the animals.

After the blast, the law enforcement agencies reached the spot and started search for the criminals.

It is worth mentioning that blasts frequently take place in Dera Bugti, particularly in PirKoh area where gas lines are made target.

NADRA OFFICIAL ARRESTED

The Deputy Assistant Director of NADRA Dalbandin has been apprehended on the charges of issuing fake CNICS to foreigners.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) conducted a raid on Saturday and arrested the deputy assistant director identified as Zahoor Ahmed on charges of issuing fake computerised national identity cards to Afghan and Iranian nationals at large scale.

The deputy assistant director has been shifted to FIA Headquarters in Quetta for further investigation.
